Cedar’s Got Talent

Competition will take place on Friday and Saturday, August 23-24th. The preliminary competition will take place on August 23th, times TBA.  Participants who make the finals will perform for the city at the Main Street Park on the evening of the 24th.  Each performer will receive an audition time that will be announced after everyone is signed up.  Performer’s will compete in their age group (Toddler Category 0-6, Children Category 7-12, Teen Category 13-18, Adult Category 19 on up, and a Family Category in the event of two or more performers fitting in two or more age groups).  There is will be a $50 prize for the winner of each division and a $500 overall grand prize winner.   Because of the limited time we have during and between acts, live bands that require sound set up will not be allowed to compete.  Groups or soloists with instruments will obviously be allowed, but only what you can walk on and play with limited or no set up.  GOOD LUCK!  If you have any questions please contact:

Rules and Regulations

1.      Each talent cannot exceed 2 min.  We will be keeping the time and if your talent goes over the time limit the judges will be notified. 

2.      Your talent may not contain vulgar, inappropriate, or adult content. 

3.      You may not use live accompaniment unless doing so yourself.  For example if you are able to play an instrument while singing you may do so, but if you require an accompanist you must use a minus track. 

4.      If you require a music track, you need to either email it to marizhawn@hotmail.com or give a copy of it to Mari Burgess (691-4014) on or before August 10, 2013.  ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.  If I don't have it I will assume that you are no longer interested in participating this year.  If you have questions regarding this, you need to contact me well enough ahead of time in order to make the deadline.  Make sure its cut if it is over the maximum 2 min requirement.
